Good food, especially the main dishes. La Milanese is great, pizzas are good too! A bit pricey though

Good quality pizza. The pasta dough was a little too thick and tasteless for me but the toppings were great. A bit expensive if you compare to the quality and pricing of Carmelo and Pappaveri. Still a good try with much room for improvement.

Outstanding. We wandered randomly into MIMA without a reservation after having been turned away by several other places nearby – a delicious accident, since we later sampled a few of the other local places and they could not hold a candle to it. Sasha, our waiter, took excellent care of us all night, and made us feel wonderfully welcome and looked after. He was also able to support our somewhat limited French with an exceptional grasp of English that helped us to relax no end on the first day of our trip. The food was exceptional. A particular highlight, and if you’re reading reviews, you’ve already seen a picture of this, was the star shaped sourdough pizza (each point of the star is filled with a different content – I strongly recommend it). We’re no strangers to sourdough but have never before found it so soft and digestible. The pasta and seafood were similarly appetizing. Even things I’ve usually been disappointed by at other restaurants, like octopus, stood out as being exceptionally well cooked. Overall, we found MIMA to be one of the best restaurants we sampled in Lyon, and certainly the best value for money. If you’re a fan of Italian food, definitely give it a go.

Our favorite Italian restaurant in Lyon! Great quality products, excellent service, amazing food! We go there at least one a month with my husband and my baby, as well as with our family and friends. And we also go for takeout.
